Founded in January 2016, CJJF Santa Monica is proud to be an affiliate of the Caveirinha Jiu Jitsu Family Association. Our academy was established by Professor Maycon Carvalho, a 5th Degree Black Belt under Master Aldo Caveirinha, whose lineage traces back to Master Carlos Gracie Jr., son of Carlos Gracie, one of the founders of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Maycon is an IBJJF No-Gi World Champion with a passion for teaching students of all ages and skill levels. He is actively involved in every class, from kids to adults, and regularly rolls with his students to provide hands-on, world-class instruction.
